StudentCrowd and TPMS announce new partnership

The Property Marketing Strategists and StudentCrowd announce new partnership to elevate the voices of students.

The Property Marketing Strategists (TPMS) is delighted to announce StudentCrowd as the new strategic partner for its Youth Forum research for season three which will run in 2024 to 2025.

This exciting new partnership will expand the distribution of surveys to a wider dataset of students, giving the property sector a broader insight into their customer base and the Gen Z audience.

The Youth Forum, which includes surveys and focus groups with 18-30 year olds, asks key questions about lifestyle and housing. This provides unrivalled data to those working within the property industry providing insights that matter on accommodation, homes, marketing and what is on young people’s minds.

The information taken from the Youth Forum is packaged up into an insight paper and videos which are shared to the industry for free.

Starting in October 2024 the new series will tackle a range of hot topics including what students prioritise when considering university and accommodation, quality measures, segmentation and cost of living. TPMS and StudentCrowd are looking forward to sharing its findings.

“We at StudentCrowd are really excited to team up with TPMS on their Youth Forums, this will allow us to expand on the rich insight we already draw from our own reviews by providing a channel to validate and delve into the nuances of sector themes. StudentCrowd is all about making a hero of student voice and this will be yet another exciting way to achieve that. We believe that combining these very personal experiences with our sector-wide data will facilitate exceptional insight that we can collectively deliver to our industry”  - Tuely Robins, StudentCrowd

Sarah Canning and Deenie Lee from The Property Marketing Strategists said: “StudentCrowd is the perfect partner to The Youth Forum as we can marry up their unrivalled data about student intent and behaviour when it comes to student accommodation with real-life views from students. This combination of qualitative and quantitative data will give the industry a broad picture of the facts and figures as well as sentiment.”

The last series of the Youth Forum covered topics such as cost of living, branding, marketing and what students wish they had known before starting university. The free, easy-to-digest, reports are accompanied by soundbites taken from a focus group of students who talk openly about each topic.

"I like being a part of the online youth form and taking part in projects and research, as I'd like to think that my feedback has an impact on how brands and companies work, and that what I say could potentially improve the products or services they provide. Being rewarded for my opinions is a nice bonus too!" – Claire, Youth Forum Participant

To date, the Youth Forum has produced 10 different reports with 6,000 student survey respondents and 300 downloads. There have been 48 soundbite videos produced with 68 student participants and 1,500 views.

StudentCrowd will join DigIn who are partnering with TPMS for a third series, highlighting the value of creating good-quality sector insight.
